Sailing school
Small-group IYT sailing courses on Kogarah Bay, from Try Sail to Bareboat Skipper.
Provider overview
AusSea Sailing School provides a staged IYT sailing pathway on Kogarah Bay and Botany Bay. A two-hour Try Sail leads into practical inshore levels on J24 keelboats, followed by offshore, racing and navigation days and an International Bareboat Skipper assessment. Students aiming to charter internationally can work towards IYT crew and skipper certificates, the ICC and VHF radio credentials without beginning on busy central Sydney Harbour.
Best for: South Sydney beginners, developing keelboat sailors, club racers and travellers preparing to charter a yacht overseas.

Why AusSea Sailing School
Courses depart from Botany Bay Yacht Club in Sans Souci, using Kogarah Bay and Botany Bay before advanced days extend towards Port Hacking or Sydney Harbour.
Early practical levels use responsive J24 keelboats. Offshore, racing and navigation training can move aboard Renegade, an S111 sailing yacht.
